Compressor Giant Champions Breast Cancer Charity
Champion is releasing a series of limited edition compressors to help raise vital funds for a leading UK cancer charity.
The manufacturer and supplier of compressed air solutions will donate £250 to Breast Cancer UK for every special edition FM7/CT/270 and FM11/CT/270 machine sold throughout November and December.
A total of 20 units, which will feature two orange stripes down each side, replacing Champion’s familiar red and black branding, as well as the Breast Cancer UK logo, are being produced and sold.
Providing a reliable source of high-quality air in temperatures up to 46ºC, the FM oil lubricated screw compressors offer a complete compressed air system, including receiver, dryer, filters, and drain.
Compact in design, with a footprint of 1.12m2, they are suitable for small businesses, such as workshops or repair centres, and offer a flow range of up to 56.15 CFM, and working pressure of 7, 8, 10 and 13 bar.
A JustGiving page has also been set up by Champion brand owner Gardner Denver, where donations can be made to Breast Cancer UK. The charity’s mission is to prevent new cases of the disease through education, scientific research, collaboration and policy change.
Vince Blower, from Champion, said: “Champion is delighted to be able to help Breast Cancer UK, which is carrying out valuable work in the fight against this terrible disease. Breast cancer touches the lives of so many people, with one-in-seven women being diagnosed at some point in their life. By producing these limited-edition machines, we are hoping to help raise vital funds and make a real difference.”
Thalie Martini CEO of Breast Cancer UK, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Champion to help raise money and awareness of breast cancer. Champion’s generous donation from the sale of its specially-branded machines will help us continue to fund vital research to understand and address the causes of breast cancer – and the factors that may help prevent it. As many as 55,000 women and 370 men a year in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer, and many of these cases are preventable through lifestyle changes.”
